Someone said men are naturally polygamous. Sounds very philosophically true but from the beginning the Creator of the Universe did not create multiple women for the man. He intended that Adam had one wife and He created only one Eve, not two Eves. So, if polygamy now exists, it is not the plan of God. Having said that, the fall of man put a catalog of misnomers in the heart of the man such that whatever he does was always contrary to the plan of God. After all, the plan of the devil was to corrupt, pollute and counteract God. Darkness always desires to put out the Light.
Today, we have a situation where even when a man does not marry more than one wife, he still has the propensity and desire to be with more than one woman. He marries one wife, behaves as if he respects her, she bears his name and his children and then he keeps chains of mistresses and girlfriends outside the home. Some men have over the years perfected the art of keeping it so discreet their wives have no inkling and can even vouch for them.
The question that comes to mind is this: what is so special in the other women that your wife does not have? The woman outside is a thief and a robber. She is a harlot and a whore. What is attractive about someone who allows every Tom, Dick and Harry into her life? And then, you who is married to a honorable woman takes your “honorable” self and dishonors it at the lap of a whore! Can you see how without sense you are? Do you even know the implications of what you are doing? You are truce-breaker, an unfaithful man and an adulterer. If those names are not heavy enough to make you afraid to bear even in secret; are you not afraid of the consequences of your actions on your family?
Remember your children if you have lost all respect for your wife. You are the father of that home and you are the gate-keeper. You are transferring spirits from different women with all their spiritual issues to your family because your kids are linked by blood with you. When you do all those stuff and the wrath falls on your kids, you may not be here to witness it but the blood-line will speak! David’s kids paid for the unbridled lust he carried all through his life. He sowed the seed for a divided Israel after King Solomon’s reign was over. David was indeed a man after God’s heart but he was also loose below the belt and it created serious sorrow for his entire family.
Then think of the woman you married and promised to be faithful to. You broke that promise when you went into another woman. You invalidated the marriage and continued to do so. She may not know what you are doing since you are very discreet about it but have you thought about the implication of STDs and HIV/AIDS? The consequences of your cheating game is far-reaching and it is not just a one-off thing. You are silently digging your grave with your philandering activities.
A whole generation of married women are today hurting all around the world because of cheating husbands. Husbands that cheat are rarely economically stable as their chains of women are a burden on family finance for which they are breadwinners. Cheating husbands are rarely focused people. They seem to be having some progress at work but this is always undermined by their womanizing acts. They are mostly drunks and for those who have turned “professional” in the game, they keep their acts so sealed that only God has a way of exposing them.
Many homes have been broken today because the men opened the gates of discord and mistrust as a result of their unfaithful acts. No one should deceive himself; it is not only the man that has the right to divorce his wife on account of unfaithfulness which is the key reason for biblical divorce; the woman has equal rights to use that proviso. God hates divorce but if your acts brings the woman up against danger of being infected with dreaded diseases, do you think God will approve “suicide” on the part of the wife to continue to stay with you?
Think again about your life, Oh Cheating husband; you are destroying your very lineage and putting an innocent wife to her early grave if you do not take heed. I hope this reaches the heart of a sane man today.
